The food the same with the others big portions cheaper than others food so tasty but the place it's dark the staff and the chef are they old as long they're a good job?

Omg I loveeeee this place! It was perfect and classic. The staff is friendly and to the point; they know what they're doing and how to do it well. The food was delicious and so was the coffee! The atmosphere was cool too; classic diner vibes, very nostalgic! :) I was satisfied and happy for my whole day after eating here!!

Cash only hidden gem. Well not exactly hidden but not given nearly enough praise. Prices are great and the servings are hefty. The service is fast and what you expect at a local diner. It feel like you walk back in time entering this place. Its a nice casual escape from the city that makes you feel like you could be in a small town diner anywhere.

I love this place. It's an old school diner and I enjoy the nostalgia it gives. Multiple booths, tables and counter seating. Old school window to the kitchen for the servers to place the orders and pickup the food. The food is very delicious and it's your typical American fare. The pancakes are amazing. My husband and I have gone to a few restaurants to compare the pancakes but we always return to Golden. The service is great. They are very friendly and you never have to wait long to order. They are not expensive so that's an added bonus.

My boyfriend and I became regulars at this place after one of our friends recommended it. We've had our fair share of trying things of the menu but my go to has been the vegetarian omelette and I add mozzarella cheese. Also a big fan of the french toast! Service is fast and everyone is so nice! Prices are great too. Ambiance is amazing, and retro. There's a parking lot in the back which we didn't know until a couple visits in. Can fit a couple cars but street parking available nearby too. Unfortunately we left Chicago... We're both going to miss this place but we'll definitely be coming back whenever we're in the city again! Also we love the people and the food so much we even got a shirt for all the memories hahaha

Like a local Waffle House, this popular (shameless anyone?) diner is a level up from the chain. Loved it for a Saturday morning comfort food situation. When we entered, everyone kept saying hey and welcome and were genuinely inquiring on how we were. They felt like paid actors. Still suspicious about that. The server was attentive and quick. The menu is huge but true to brunch and breakfast menus, it was the same/similar stuff in different combos. The egg and has brown and toast breakfast was simple but hit the spot. Eggs how you want them. Hash browns very potato in texture. Like chunky. In a good way. All the bread we ordered came out in one basket. Loving that. The strawberry pancake was def some pie filling stuff and the whipped cream was canned but hey we knew what we were doing when we ordered. No regrets. Coffee was a bit weak but in a nostalgic diner way. And they were always ready to refill. Love that.

This quaint diner hidden in the cut of Uptown is a is Gem! Brings back nostalgia of eating at greasy spoons as a young child. The food was standard diner breakfast food that we indulged in, but there are many other options. Polite and quick service. Definitely recommend

No nonsense breakfast diner and restaurant! We just moved to the neighborhood and this will be a staple. Cash only, so make sure you bring some. But the hash browns, eggs, pancakes, and thick ham steaks for an incredibly affordable price is worth it. Service is nice and keeps the coffee refilled throughout the meal. Ambience is lively, you can tell lots of locals come here often, they are comfortable and with their families. Highly recommend making it a staple if you're in the neighborhood.
